Biography
ZYANIDE was founded sometime in winter 2005 and was called Cyanide first. Afraid of violating against copyrights the band had to rename. So they took the German word for cyanides and decided to pronounce it English. Founder members were Andreas Zetzsche (lead guitar), Daniel Broszeit (rhythm guitar), Philipp Dolder (keyboards), Roger Rüfenacht (vocals) and Timon Dolder (drums).
Daniel and Timon met on the internet by chance. Daniel had just finished his own recordings for a Demo-CD and sent it to Timon. He really liked the stuff and so did the rest. Together plans were made. At the youth club “Planet Z” in Zofingen (Aargau) the guys got an opportunity to install their equipment and start working. After kicking two bass-players, ZYANIDE decided to work without a bass-player. The constellation worked great until Roger started having airs and graces. The guys decided to get on for a while without him. During this time Roger left the band altogether. Because Daniel did some vocal parts before he started to take it over for good.
In december 2006 the recordings for ZYANIDE’s first three demo-songs were finished and the songs were published on www.myspace.com/zyanide. In 2007 ZYANIDE played their first concerts. For example at the BACK TO ROCK Festival in Reiden. ZYANIDE played there with bands as Sodom and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter. The concerts helped ZYANIDE to do a big step forward.
Zyanide are recording their first album at the moment, which is going to be released in the beginning of 2009.
